TAXPAYER’S PROTECTION AMENDMENT DIES IN SENATE
After a slim party-line vote, with nine Republicans voting no in the Assembly, the State Senate rejected their own version of the Taxpayer’s Protection Amendment on a 22-11 vote. All Democrats and Republican Senators Brown, Cowles, Ellis, Harsdorf, Kapanke, Lasee, Olsen, and Roessler voted against the bill. With the end of the regular session the issue appears to be dead.
